2019 Honda Activa 125 Likely To Launch On 12 June, Will Be BS6-compliant

[Update: BS6 Honda Activa 125 Unveiled In India]

Honda is all set to launch its first BS6 two-wheeler on June 12. The company hasn’t mentioned whether it’s going to be a scooter or a motorcycle but we have come to know that it is going to be the former.

The question that arises here is, what it could be? Well, back in March a test mule was spotted near the ARAI facility during its testing phase. Even though the test mule was heavily camouflaged, the body panels and the instrument cluster hints that the scooter is likely to be an Activa. Whether it is the 110cc Activa 6G or the 2019 Activa 125 is yet to be confirmed, but we are leaning towards the latter.

It has been a while since the Activa 125 has seen a significant update. And since the 125cc segment is one of the most hotly contested segments in India, Honda does not want to miss out on the action. You might say that it does have the Grazia 125 in the segment but that too will go down the fuel-injected route sooner than later.

There’s no confirmation on the price yet, but we expect the upcoming scooter to cost around Rs 62,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). This news is still under development, so stay tuned to ZigWheels for more updates.
