Honda is set to launch the all-new CBR650R in India. Until then feast your eyes on these detailed images
Honda has opened bookings for the new 2019 CBR650R which is slated to launch in the next couple of months. The new CBR650R which will replace the now-discontinued CBR650F in India is a huge improvement over the latter. Here is a comprehensive image gallery of the 2019 Honda CBR650R filled with information.
For starters, the CBR650R has a sportier design language that seems inspired by Honda's flagship CBR1000RR litre-class superbike.
It features a tightly packaged skin that looks far better than the previous CBR650F's bulbous bodywork.

There are two colour options on offer: Red and Black.
You now have revised design elements in the form of a smaller, more compact exhaust and the supersport style footpegs sit 3mm back and 6mm higher.
The meatier tail section gets more pronounced and comfortable split grab rails.
A revised fuel tank design means the capacity has dropped from 17.3 litres to 15.4 litres.
The new headlamps are now a twin-setup and having LED lighting allows designers to make them slimmer and sleeker.
Also new is a blue backlit full-digital instrument console. The clip-on handlebars now sit below the triple tree clamps and are set 30mm forward for a more focussed riding position.
You now get Honda’s Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), which essentially is multi-stage traction control. You also get the option to switch it off.
The 649cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four motor has been heavily revised. It gets new intake and exhaust ports, updated cam timing and a higher compression ratio.
With these new upgrades, the new motor makes 95PS at 12,000rpm (up by 3PS) and 64Nm at 8500rpm (up by 1Nm). It now revs up to 12,000rpm, 1000rpm higher than before.
The six-speed gearbox now comes with a slipper clutch.
Weight is down by 6kg thanks to an updated lighter frame and a smaller fuel tank. The Suspension setup has been updated as well.
You have front Showa Separate Function upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The 310mm dual discs get radially mounted Nissin brake calipers for better stopping power.
These new updates should make the new CBR650R a sportier bike than its predecessor.
Honda has promised to keep the new CBR650R's ex-showroom price below Rs 8 lakh. Thats a sweet deal as you get a better design, more features, an updated motor and sportier suspension at a price increase of no more than Rs 70,000.
The new CBR650R is expected to launch in the next couple of months while deliveries for the bike is expected to commence by April. Stay tuned for more info.
