The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer gets an all-new design language and shares most of its styling cues with the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF.
The most noticeable design change is the addition of a new LED headlight. While the new LED unit might be more powerful than the halogen unit of its predecessor but we wished it would have been integrated better.
The all-digital instrument cluster has been redesigned and features a gear position indicator. Also, the new layout is easier to read on the move as well.
Fuel tank capacity is the same as the older bike at 12 litres, while the tank extensions are sharper and flow well with the overall lines of the bike.
Along with the redesigned tail section, the 2019 Gixxer also features a larger LED tail light compared to its predecessor.
The new motorcycle also gets split seat which makes it look sportier. However, seat height has also increased by 15mm at 795mm.
The twin exit exhaust unit has been carried forward on the new bike as well, but the chrome exhaust tips have been redesigned.
Powering the new Suzuki Gixxer is a 155cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder motor developing 14.1PS and 14Nm of torque. Power output is down by 0.7PS compared to the older bike, but the 2019 Gixxer receives fuel-injection. Also, the kick lever has been removed.
Braking hardware consists of disc brake units on either ends with a single-channel ABS unit as standard.
Chassis, tyres and suspension components have been carried forward from the older machine. However, the 2019 Gixxer is 4kg heavier.
