Expert's Conclusion

Suzuki's sporty 125cc scooter looks quite a lot like its rivals but it does leave a great impression on us. The styling fits the sporty persona, has zippy performance and still doesn't compromise on the practical stuff.

The Race Edition of this scooter gets a sporty Suzuki MotoGP-themed livery with Suzuki branding on its side panels. The exhaust unit on it looks similar to the one found on Suzuki Burgman Street. The console also displays an overspeed alert, including a distance indicator, among others. The Avenis comes with an apron-mounted cubby hole, along with an integrated USB-charging port. It rolls on 12 inch front and 10 inch rear alloy wheels, which are wrapped in 90-section tubeless tyres. The scooter weighs 106kg (kerb) and has a 160mm ground clearance, along with 780mm seat height. The fuel tank capacity on the Avenis stands at 5.2 litres.

Rivals: The Suzuki Avenis competes with the likes of the Aprilia SR 125 and the Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid. Other alternatives that you can consider buying in a similar price range include the TVS Raider 125, Honda Shine, and the Bajaj Pulsar 125.

Q. Which scooter is best Suzuki Avenis or Suzuki Access 125?
  • Selecting the right scooter would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. The Suzuki Access 125 is one of the most refined scooters in India. It offers superb ride quality and soaks up bumps really well. It has all the crucial updates to help it continue its streak of being the best-selling scooter in the 125cc segment. Sure it does have its own set of shortcomings but as an overall package, the Suzuki Access 125 is capable of holding its own in the competitive segment. On the other hand, the Avenis is an all-new scooter designed to appeal to younger audiences. The sharp-looking apron gets several creases, and it houses an all-LED headlamp. The bulb indicators are housed in a sporty-looking handlebar cowl with an integrated flyscreen. The side panels also get cuts and slashes for an added dose of sportiness. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your city accordingly for dealership details.

  • Selecting the right scooter would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. Yamaha Ray-ZR 125 is equipped with an 125 cc Air cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve engine that generates a max power of 8.2 PS @ 6500 rpm and a max torque of 9.7 Nm @ 5000 rpm. The Ray ZR 125 Fi gets new features such as LED DRLs, a digital instrument console, and ‘Quiet Engine Start’ (similar to Honda’s silent-start system) and side stand engine cut-off. Powering the scooter is the same 125cc fuel-injected engine as seen on the new Fascino. On the other hand, the Avenis is an all-new scooter designed to appeal to younger audiences.
