Ducati India has teased its next big launch for this year, the 2021 SuperSport 950 which is expected to arrive in the coming weeks. We’ve already covered all the updates in our earlier story, which you can read about there.
For starters, the bike receives cosmetic updates inspired by the Panigale V4. For instance, the fairing, and headlight had been revised to look a lot more aggressive than before. The fairing extends all the way to the twin-barrel exhaust. The new V4-inspired air ducts, on the other hand, divert heat away from the rider. Also new is the 4.3-inch TFT dash inspired by the Panigale family.
The next big update is the bike's electronic suite. It now comes equipped with a six-axis Bosch IMU unit that monitors and controls cornering ABS, traction control and wheelie control. The updated electronic package also includes three riding modes-- Urban, Touring and Sports as well as a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.
As for the Testastretta 937cc engine, it now meets strict BS6 regulation, but still manages to put out the same 110PS at 9,000rpm and 93Nm at 6,500rpm, same as the outgoing model. Hardware-wise, the bike uses twin 320mm discs clamped onto Brembo M4.32 calipers at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear paired to a Brembo twin-pot caliper.
Considering the updates, we reckon Ducati may price the 2021 SuperSport around the Rs 13 lakh mark. It will be available in two trims: Standard and 'S', where the latter is equipped with fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension.
