Honda’s big bike portfolio has garnered quite a healthy response with the first lot of the 2021 Gold Wings completely booked out in less than 24 hours. Honda hasn’t shared the exact number of bikes that were part of the first lot. Since it is a CBU product, expect them all to be delivered in one go.
The Gold Wing went on sale in June, arriving at an eye-watering price tag of Rs 37.20 lakh (ex-showroom). And that’s for the manual version. The more convenient DCT model costs a whopping Rs 39.16 lakh. That’s some serious money for basically a two-wheeled car. And it doesn’t justify the extra Rs 10-odd lakh premium well either. You only get a new speaker system, a BS6-compliant 1833cc flat-six engine, and revised pillion ergonomics.
On another note, Honda has also begun deliveries of the CB650R and the CBR650R, 15 units of which were sold to customers in Mumbai. Expect other Honda Big Wing dealerships to follow suit soon.
