Honda has launched the 2025 SP125 in India. It has always been a handsome sporty commuter from the Japanese manufacturer and replaced the CB Shine after BS6 norms came into place. The motorcycle previously came with an LCD instrument cluster which was quite crisp and provided all the necessary information. To keep up with the upcoming OBD2B norms, Honda has launched the 2025 SP125 and along with it, has given the motorcycle new features which include a brand-new 4.2-inch TFT display along with a host of other updates.
Features Galore
The biggest update to the Honda SP125 now is the brand-new 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster which is the same as found on the recently launched 2025 Honda Activa 125. The TFT cluster is Bluetooth-compatible and gets app connectivity via Honda RoadSync app. This connectivity enables additional features such as voice assist and turn-by-turn navigation. Adding to the convenience, is a USB-C charging port.
The motorcycle also gets a silent starter, side-stand engine cutoff, and an idle stop-start tech which Honda claims will increase the overall mileage of the motorcycle. Among all these features, the SP125 now also gets an LED headlight to increase visibility in low-light conditions.
OBD2B-Compliant Engine & Other Specs
The 2025 Honda SP125 gets an OBD2B-compliant 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which makes 10.8PS and 10.9Nm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Underpinnings include a telescopic fork and twin-shock absorbers, a 11.2-litres fuel tank capacity and 18-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 160mm and seat height stands at 790mm. It weighs in at 116kg kerb. The Drum variant comes with 130mm drum brakes at both ends, while the Disc variant is equipped with a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake. The motorcycle will continue to get CBS (combi-braking system) as the previous iteration.
