Along with the iFlow and the Like 200, 22Kymco has also launched India’s most powerful petrol-powered scooter. Called the X-Town 300i ABS, this behemoth is priced at Rs 2.30 lakh (on-road Delhi). So let’s take a detailed look of the X-Town 300i ABS.
The X-Town 300i ABS is one of the biggest scooters to go on sale in India. Just to put things into perspective, at 2250mm, it is 370mm longer than the Suzuki Burgman Street!
The wide front apron and the tall windshield amplifies its size and gives it a Herculean stance.
It gets a semi-digital instrument cluster which houses an odometer, fuel range indicator, battery warning indicator, ABS indicator, and more.
Being a maxi-scooter, one advantage the X-Town 300i ABS has is that it gets a big and comfortable seat.
The company hasn’t revealed the exact numbers, but by the looks of it, the underseat storage is pretty generous. In fact, you can fit two full-face helmets in there.
Its massive 12.5-litre fuel tank should ensure a good range, especially for a weekend road trip.
Powering this beast is a 276cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor that puts out 24.5PS of power and 25Nm of torque.
As the X-Town 300i ABS is positioned as a premium product, 22Kymco has made sure that it gets top-spec cycle parts. It features a 37mm telescopic fork at the front and dual shocks at the rear. Stopping power comes from disc brakes (260mm front, 240mm rear) at either ends.
It is also the only scooter in India to get dual-channel ABS as standard.
Considering its price and displacement, the X-Town 300i ABS has no rivals in India. The Suzuki Burgman Street is the only other maxi-scooter on sale in the country and it is considerably more affordable and less powerful than the X-Town 300i ABS.
