5 Features You Get In The 2024 Maruti Dzire That The New Honda Amaze Misses Out

Maruti Suzuki and Honda have renewed their rivalry in the subcompact sedan segment on our shores with two new launches. Both the Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze, in their new generations, don't want to leave an inch for the other to surpass. While we’ve previously covered all the features the new Amaze gets over the 2024 Dzire, this time we’ll look at it the other way around. Below, we’ve listed all the features that the Maruti sedan offers over its rival.

Bigger Infotainment Display

The top-spec Maruti Dzire comes with a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. The Honda Amaze does fall an inch short in this case with a smaller 8-inch unit for the same. Both sedans, however, support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as connected car tech.

Sunroof

A standout feature of the new Dzire is its sunroof, making it the first car in its segment to offer this. Unfortunately, Honda has chosen not to follow suit with its competitor and hence didn’t include this feature in any trims of the Amaze, so buyers will have to do without a sunroof.

Footwell Lighting

When it comes to in-cabin ambience, the Dzire adds a touch of premiumness, especially during nighttime drives with ambient footwell lighting available in its top variant. This feature is absent in the new Amaze.

360-Degree Camera

On the safety front, both sedans in their generational updates have decided to make no compromises. However, the Dzire offers you a 360-degree camera, which is not available in the Amaze. The Amaze rather tries to compensate for the same with a lane watch camera and its segment-first ADAS.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

The new Dzire gets this feature, which is particularly useful for keeping track of your tyres’  pressure. The Honda Amaze doesn’t offer this in-built; however, there is a scope for having it as an official accessory fitment later on.

That said, both the sub-4m sedans are unique in their own ways, with some distinguishing feature sets on offer. It is on your individual preference to decide what is more important for you and what aspects you can compromise on. Whether you’d want smart driving assistance or a view overhead, we leave that to you.
