Arnab Goswami and the Lamborghini Huracan

In the day and age when everything is recorded and a billion people with internet access worldwide can essentially comment on something from any corner of the world, there are often instances where a simple act can be blown out of proportion. Sadly, this is exactly what has happened in what should be termed as ‘The Curious Case of Arnab Goswami and the Lamborghini Huracan’.

Although there are several speculation about whether the Times Now Editor-in-Chief owns or was driving the car, the real story is far from the truth. Allegedly, Arnab, while travelling on the sea link was overtaken by the Huracan. The Lamborghini, travelling over the speed limit was then reported to the police by Arnab prompting action by the local traffic police department. The car in question, a demo or test drive car belonging to Lamborghini Mumbai was then pulled over by the traffic police and the driver fined for speeding.

Although we here at ZigWheels love fast cars and speed in general, we strongly advocate safe driving and sticking to the speed limits at all times. The incident also brings about the age-old question of whether there is any point in buying a supercar in India considering the fact that there is no real place to enjoy them due to both, our miserable traffic conditions and our road conditions. That said, we strongly advice individual who want to drive fast to actively participate or organise track day events at the Delhi, Chennai or Coimbatore race track. Not only does this satisfy your speed urges but also makes one a better driver in the long run.
