Thanks to the Maharashtra state subsidy, the Ather 450s have become even more affordable by Rs 24,500.
The benefits, when clubbed with the FAME-II subsidy, add up to a massive Rs 68,000.
The Ather 450 lineup now starts from Rs 1,03,731 in Mumbai.
The Ather 450 has received a massive price cut in Maharashtra, following the introduction of the state’s new EV policy. This makes the scooter more affordable by a sizeable Rs 24,500 over and above the revised FAME-II subsidies.
Take a look at the latest price breakup:
Variant |
New Price |
Ex-showroom Price |
Total Benefits (FAME-II Subsidy + State Subsidy) |
Ather 450 Plus |
Mumbai: Rs 1,03,731 Pune: Rs 1,03,416 |
Mumbai: Rs 1,71,730 Pune: Rs 1,71,415 |
Rs 43,500 + Rs 24,500 = Rs 68,000 |
Ather 450X |
Mumbai: Rs 1,22,741 Pune: Rs 1,22,426 |
Mumbai: Rs 1,90,740 Pune: Rs 1,90,425 |
Rs 43,500 + Rs 24,500 = Rs 68,000 |
After the price cuts, the Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X in Mumbai now start at Rs 1,03,731 and Rs 1,22,741, respectively. These are the two e-scooters’ lowest prices across India. Compared to Delhi, the Ather 450s cost Rs 13,000 less in Maharashtra.
These benefits give the Ather 450 a fighting chance against new and better-equipped offerings like the Ola S1 and the Simple Energy One. Additionally, the 450 now has the edge over premium petrol-powered 125cc and 150cc scooters in terms of pricing and running costs.
