Ather is all set to roll out its highly promising 450X soon. The updated version of the 450 electric scooter was launched a few months ago but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ather had to postpone plans for the scooter’s delivery to November. Yes, the 450X and the 450 Plus will be available from November onwards in four cities to begin with: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune.
Ather has stated that the scooters will be delivered in a phased manner with the aim of establishing its presence in ten cities by the end of the first quarter of 2021. Here’s when the scooter will be made available in the respective 10 cities:
City |

Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune |
Starting November 2020 |
Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad |
Starting November 2020 |
Delhi, Mumbai |
Starting December 2020 |
Coimbatore & other cities |
Starting Q1 2021 |
The Bengaluru-based startup has just received another round of investment from Hero MotoCorp, thereby enabling it to enter new cities. Besides starting dealerships in these eight new cities, the EV maker will also be setting up its famed Ather Grid charging infra.
We took a spin on the new 450X electric scooter earlier this year and were blown away by its performance. Not only does it outdo the older 450 in speed and acceleration, but it also serves to be better in terms of range and charging times. What astonished us further was its hefty price tag as the non-subscription based plan starts from Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-Bengaluru), and the faster version costs Rs 1.45 lakh. Head here to know how you can go about buying the 450X.
