Ather Sets Up First Charging Grid In Delhi

Delhiites, there's good news for you. Ather has set up its first charging station in your city at Connaught Place. In the next few months, the Bengaluru-based startup will enter cities like Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Kolkata. 

Ather recently launched the new 450X electric scooter. The ‘X’ in the name represents more -- more range, more power, more features and more colours. The 450X gets a denser 2.61kWh battery, which charges at a rate of 1.45km/min instead of the previous 1km/min. But if you were to charge this via a normal household 5 amp socket, it would take around 5 hours 45 minutes to fully charge. 

The puzzling part is that the Ather 450X is priced at just Rs 99,000 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). There are two packs on offer -- Plus and Pro. You need to shell out Rs 1,699 for the Pro pack every month, whereas customers have to pay Rs 1,999 for the Plus pack.
