Audi's growing presence in India is not only factored by the growing volume of its cars on Indian roads, but by the German car makers global brand building exercise, in which India occupies a very significant slot.
Since, the inception of its Terminal Concept Design, Audi has expanded aggressively and gone about setting up its state-of-the art showrooms all over the country. Beginning with Kochi, moving onto Kolkata, then to Bengaluru, followed by Jaipur and finally Mumbai, Audi India is laying the foundations for bringing its Indian customers closer to the automakers luxurious sedans and ‘blitzy’ super sports car offering in India.
Growing bigger and bigger with every new dealership, Audi India now opens its largest showroom in Delhi, a few months after inaugurating its massive 18,000 sq ft dealership at Andheri West, Mumbai in September 2010. This new Audi Showroom in country’s capital stands two stories high and boasts an unprecedented 20 car display spread over a whopping total area of 30,000 sq ft.
The Audi Delhi showroom was inaugurated by Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India and Raghav Chandra, Managing Director, Audi Delhi (Regent Garage Pvt. Ltd), also present on the occasion was leading actor John Abraham.
Adorned with its honeycomb aluminum façade on the exterior, some of the unique elements of the Delhi Showroom include escalators and a 250 ft wide frontage - a first for any luxury showroom in the country. Audi customized products and branded merchandise will also be on sale at the showroom. The opening of this landmark showroom was marked by the unveiling of the flagship Audi A8 L, which was launched earlier this month.
