German car maker Audi concluded the sixth India edition of the Audi Twin Cup. This time around, 33 dealerships, with a total of 92 teams, comprising of 241 Audi dealer technicians and service advisors, from across India participated in the event. Out of these, six technical and six service teams made it to the finals where the Audi Okhla team won in the Technology category while Audi Chennai were victorious in the Service category.
The Audi Twin Cup is an annual worldwide event held since 1996 where all members of the Audi dealer network participate. It is a test of the participants' customer orientation and technical knowledge. The participants compete in diagnostics and repair, and personal customer support areas. Along with specialist competence, close and efficient cooperation between service advisors and technicians helps in achieving top performance in realistic work situations. This is what makes Audi Okhla and Audi Chennai teams' victory in the 2016 Audi Twin Cup important. The two teams will now represent India at the World Finals in 2017 and compete with around 73 teams from 38 countries to bag the top honours.
"The Audi Twin Cup is an initiative to recognize our dealer partners delivering exceptional customer service. We have invested extensively in training our staff and the initiatives over the years for strengthening the service levels which have worked brilliantly, with our teams displaying outstanding technical know-how and consistent customer focus. This clearly reflected in the excellent performance of the teams representing Audi India at the recently-concluded World championship of the Audi Twin Cup 2016," said Thierry Lespiaucq, MD of Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited.
"This year too, the competition had been fierce amongst the participating teams with excellent demonstration of technical knowledge and service coordination. The competing teams achieve first-class results through optimal cooperation between service technicians in the workshop and service advisors interacting with the customer. The winners had to deliver on a framework moderated by AUDI AG validating that the Audi service in India is at par with other markets internationally. Audi India is committed to enhancing the ownership experience and ensuring that every touch point is managed in a way that's relevant and meaningful to today's customer," added Lespiaucq.
