The Hyundai Tucson Gets A Facelift For Auto Expo 2020

Hyundai India has revealed the Tucson facelift at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. This is the first update for Hyundai’s midsize crossover in India. Expect a launch by March/April 2020.

The Tucson facelift comes with a handful of styling updates that freshens up its design. The front end comes with a sharper cascading grille, new LED headlamps and new bumpers with a sharper design. Changes to the side are limited to new dual-tone alloy wheels while the rear end comes with new LED tail lamps and bumpers.

Inside, the facelifted Tucson comes with a revamped dashboard design, the main highlight being the floating infotainment system. In terms of features, the facelifted Tucson comes with BlueLink connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, auto headlamps and wipers, powered front seats, a wireless phone charger as well as keyless entry with push-button start.

Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, vehicle stability management, hill-start assist and hill descent control. Top-spec variants also come with electric parking brake with an auto-hold function.

Under the hood, the Tucson facelift retains its 2.0-litre diesel and petrol engines, albeit with upgrades to meet BS6 norms. The diesel engine develops 185PS and 400Nm while the petrol unit puts out 152PS and 200Nm. Both engines can be had with either a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. The top-spec diesel variant also comes with an all-wheel drive system.
