Bajaj Auto has launched a new Desert Gold colour option for its Avenger Cruise 220. The motorcycle was previously offered with only the Divine Black colour shade. Dealers will soon receive stocks of the new colour shade and as per reports, the motorcycle will carry the same price tag of Rs 85,497 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Desert Gold colour variant of the Avenger Cruise features a shiny gold finish with the seat and back support covered in dark brown covers to match the paint scheme. Apart for these changes, the rest of the bike pretty much remains the same.
The Cruise variant of the Avenger is powered by the 220cc oil-cooled 4-stroke engine that produces 19PS of power and 17.5Nm of torque when mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets spoked alloy wheels, low slung seat, raised handle bars and an optional windshield to offer better riding comforts for highway travelling.
The Avenger Street, on the other hand, carries a matt black theme and is offered with the 220cc mill and a 150cc powerplant as well. The smaller 150cc is an air-cooled 4-stroke engine that delivers 14.5PS of power and 12.5Nm of peak torque. The Street variant gets black alloy wheels, lower handle bars and slightly different seat design to better suit the city riding environment. The Street variant is available in two colour options- Matt Black (220 variant) and Midnight Blue (150 variant).
The company currently offers three models for the Avenger series - Cruise 220, Street 220 and the Street 150.
