With just weeks left into the April 1 deadline to meet the BS6 emission norms, Bajaj Auto has begun updating its models. It was the Bajaj CT100/110 and the Platina 100/110 H-Gear that were updated to the new emission norms yesterday and now the Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 has finally begun arriving at dealerships. The bike seen here is the Twin Disc version of the popular Pulsar 150 series as it now gets fuel-injection as well as a chunky cat-con to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms.
While the use of an e-carb did the trick for the other two bikes, it was not possible to do the same with the Pulsar 150. While the prices have not been revealed, we expect the new bike to come in at Rs 5,500 - Rs 6,000 more than the BS4 version.
Has there been a change in the engine output? The details have not been revealed but even if there were, we expect that there would be a marginal drop from the current outputs of 14PS and 13.4Nm. Fuel injection should help make the engine smoother but we would have to get our hands on the bike to verify the same.
There are no mechanical changes reported on the motorcycle as the Pulsar 150 continues to be suspended by a front telescopic fork and twin shocks at the rear. As the variant name suggests, you get disc brakes at both ends but with just single-channel ABS.
