BMW M135i Concept

The three-door M135i, based on the 1-Series, is an entirely new concept that merges excellent drive dynamics typical of a BMW M Performance cars, a comparatively small frame and brilliant utility value to match. BMW has employed a straight six-cylinder petrol powerplant that features M-Performance Twin Power Turbo technology with a power output of more than 300PS that will create the ideal prerequisites for maximum dynamics in the premium compact segment, in conjunction with its rear-wheel drivetrain.

In the pictures provided, the M-Performer looks stunning owing to its low stance, and five-spoke 18-inch rims, each spoke of which are separated sportily through the middle providing more character to the runner. The frameless door adds to its desirability making it seem like a bratty school boy wearing a suit. The front apron of the concept car boasts of a typical M design, signalling intensive road-orientation. Its large air intakes are solely designed to match the required cooling for the powerful engine, ancillary components and large brakes. The three-dimensionally designed flaps on the air intakes indicate the car's direct association with motor racing. This is supplemented in particular by the three-dimensional modelling of the surfaces and the lower section of the rear apron finished in a Dark Shadow metallic finish. Furthermore, the rear apron accommodates the exhaust system's double tailpipe that features a dark chrome trim.

Performance is expected to be similar to the 1M Coupe, with a 0-100 kmph run in under 5 seconds. The M135i will reportedly go into production and will be sold first in European markets barring the UK.
