For those few who thought the BMW M5 sedan wasn’t as aggressive enough, BMW has answered your prayers as the Bavarian brand has launched the sportier M5 Competition in India at a price tag of Rs 1.55 crore (ex-showroom). The performance packed sedan comes as a CBU (completely built-up unit) and is available at all dealerships in the country. BMW’s M cars are high-performance variants of the carmaker standard models. This boost in performance propels the Competition from 0-100kmph in just 3.3 seconds (faster than the standard M5 by 0.1 seconds) and a 0-200kmph sprint in 10.8 seconds (faster than the standard M5 by 0.3 seconds). The V8 engine is mated to an 8-speed M steptronic transmission with an all-wheel M xDrive drivetrain with a variety of drive modes (4WD, 4WD Sport, 2WD).

Exterior tweaks to the M5 Competition include blacked-out exterior accents - like the front grille, mirrors, boot lip spoiler, badging, diffuser insert and tailpipes. It also gets a carbon-fibre roof, an M Sport exhaust system and 20-inch forged lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in 275/35 front and 285/35 rear tyres. For identification, the performance sedan gets Competition lettering on the bootlid.
