Kawasaki India has started accepting bookings for the Ninja ZX-10R for a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. Interested customers can now book the Ninja ZX-10R across all 28 dealerships in India.
Although the outgoing model took the CBU route, the 2018 Ninja ZX-10R will be assembled here at the company’s production facility in Chakan to bring costs down. This should help the Japanese manufacturer price it lower than the current asking price of Rs 15.9 lakh and make it the most affordable litre-class motorcycle in the country. Kawasaki also assembles the Ninja 1000 here.
The 2018 Ninja ZX-10R comes equipped with electronic rider aids such as three power modes, launch control, ABS, five levels of traction control, engine braking, a quick shifter for upshifts, a Bosch inertial measuring unit (IMU) and Kawasaki corner management function (KCMF).
Powering the Ninja ZX-10R is a 998cc, in-line four, liquid-cooled motor, which produces a maximum of 200PS at 13,000rpm and 113.5Nm of torque at 11,500rpm.
While the company hasn’t confirmed the launch date, we expect the bike to hit the showrooms towards the end of July 2018.
