TVS took us by surprise when it launched the 2021 TVS Apache RTR 200 in India. The bike came equipped with segment-first features such as ride modes, an adjustable front suspension, brake and clutch levers. All this for a premium of just Rs 1,000 over the previous-gen dual-channel ABS variant. To amplify its presence in the 200cc space, TVS has now launched the updated RTR 200 4V single-channel ABS variant at 1,28,020 (ex-showroom Delhi). It now gets all the bells and whistles from the dual-channel ABS but costs Rs 5,050 less, making it more accessible to enthusiasts. The icing on the cake: it doesn’t compromise on any of the above-mentioned features.
This also gives TVS a massive advantage over its arch-rival, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, which costs a shocking 1.33 lakh (Rs 5,202 more) but fails to justify its price with a lack of features. The single-channel RTR 200 4V is available in three shades: Gloss Black, Pearl White, and Matte Blue.
The rest of the bike remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 197.75cc motor dishing out 20.82PS and 17.25Nm in Sport mode. The power drops down to 17.32PS and 16.51Nm if you switch to Rain and Urban modes. We’ve already covered all the updates in detail here.
We even put the RTR 200 4V through a comprehensive road test a couple of weeks ago and came back thoroughly impressed. You can read about it here.
