[Update: Royal Enfield has launched the Meteor 350 in India. For pricing and other information from the launch, head here]
The frenzy around the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 seems to be growing by the day. Just last week, we came to know the engine specifications of the new 349cc engine and the feature list of the bike. This time round, a leaked brochure image reveals more juicy details about it.
From the spy images it was but obvious that the Meteor 350 is built on a brand new double cradle frame. It is suspended on either end by a telescopic fork and twin shocks. The new brochure states that the fork is a chunky 41mm unit with a 130mm travel. The twin shocks are preload adjustable with six-levels of tune. A 19-/17-inch alloy wheel setup is found on the Meteor 350 with tubeless rubber (100/90-section at the front and 140/70-section at the rear) at both ends. Braking hardware comprises a 300mm disc with a twin-piston front caliper while the rear unit is a 270mm rotor with a single-piston caliper.

Besides that the engine specs are also mentioned here with the new 349cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor producing 20.48PS and 27Nm. That’s 1.12PS more and 1Nm less than the current BS6-compliant 346cc UCE mill. According to our sources, the new engine will get a six-speed gearbox, which should aid its highway cruisability. And keeping in mind that it has got a large 15-litre fuel tank, the Meteor 350 should be a great tool for spending long hours on the saddle.
Royal Enfield’s latest cruiser is expected to be launched by the end of the month with an expected price tag of Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
