Hero MotoCorp:
According to reports, Hero has the highest stock of unsold BS-III two-wheelers, close to 2 lakh units! The largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India is offering discounts of up to Rs 15,000. Hero’s popular Glamour and Super Splendor also get a price cut of Rs 12,500 on the sticker price.
Hero is offering great deals on its scooter range as well - BS-III versions of Hero Maestro Edge and Duet are offered at discounts up to Rs 15,000. The country’s highest selling motorcycle is also going for a discount as are all Splendor variants. Xtreme Sport, Xtreme, Hunk, HF Dawn, and all Passion and HF Deluxe variants are being offered at a discount of Rs 10,000 on ex-showroom pricing.
Honda:
Honda dealers are providing heavy discounts ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 on the BS-III two-wheelers lying in stock with them. The popular Honda scooters are going for a discounted rate of Rs 15,000 but only few units of Activa 3G are still left with dealers.
Honda dealers are also offering great offers on motorcycles which include the CD 110 Dream, Dream Neo, Dream Yuga, Livo, CB Shine Unicorn and Hornet, which are being offered at a flat discount of Rs 20,000 for the BS-III models. Also, the BS-III compatible Navi is also being offered with a discount of Rs 20,000, reducing its price to around Rs 25,000 (on-road, Delhi). Some dealers are also offering the Honda Navi free on purchase of the Honda CBR250R.
The highest discount is being offered on the CBR range, which is Rs 25,000. Dealers hardly have the BS-III model of the CBR 250R, however, the CBR 150R is available at most of the dealerships with the discounted price.
TVS Motors:
TVS has announced discounts of up to Rs 20,000 for its BS-III range of two-wheelers in India which are in stock with dealers. With the Supreme Court ruling that two-wheelers which don’t comply with the new BS-IV emission norms will not be registered from April 1, 2017, dealers are doing their best to off-load the unsold inventory.
We got in touch in with a few dealerships in Delhi and found that they are offering discounts ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 on TVS motorcycles and scooters. Few TVS dealerships in Chennai are offering the Apache RTR 200 4V at Rs 15,000 discount and have also added insurance free of cost. The popular TVS Victor is also available at a discount of Rs 12,000 with free insurance. Some dealers are offering motorcycles and scooters in their fleet by Rs 8,000 along with free insurance as an added bonus.
Some dealers in Gujarat are offering TVS two-wheelers at an incredible 30 per cent discount on the ex-showroom price for the entire range. TVS dealers in Pune are offering a flat discount of Rs 10,000 on all two-wheelers. The discounts vary from city to city so we suggest you head to your nearest local dealership and try to strike a sweet deal.
Bajaj Auto:
Bajaj Auto has announced that it will offer discounts up to Rs 12,000 on select BS-III motorcycles. The highest discount is for the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 which is on offer with Rs 12,000 discount. The Bajaj Pulsar range is now available at a discount of Rs 7,000.
The Bajaj Avenger cruiser range is offered at a discount of Rs 7,000. Bajaj dealers are also offering Rs 5,000 off on the V15, Bajaj Discover range, and the Bajaj Platina. The CT100 commuter bike is now available for a discount of Rs 3,000.
Suzuki:
We got in touch with some Suzuki dealers across the country and found out that they’re offering discounts of Rs 5,000. Suzuki dealers are offering a discount of Rs 5,000 on the remaining Gixxer motorcycles and Suzuki Let’s scooter. But most of the Suzuki dealers have very few stock of the Gixxer while the Let’s 110cc scooter was easy available.
The Suzuki Let's is an 110cc unisex scooter that costs around Rs 52,685 (on-road, Delhi) for the standard mono-tone colour variant. After the discount, the scooter will cost around Rs 47,500 (on-road, Delhi). The cost of the company's popular 155cc streetbike, the Gixxer, starts at Rs 87,032 (on-road, Delhi), but will be available on the offer for Rs 82,000 (on-road, Delhi).
Note:
All the models are selling out fast and the offer is available on billing until March 31, 2017, as BS-III models cannot be registered from April 1, 2017, onwards. The discounts are offered mostly by dealers and vary from city to city and we will suggest our readers to personally check the offers that dealers are giving out in their locality.
