TVS Motor Company has unveiled the new BS-IV emission norm-compliant Jupiter scooter. The new BS-IV TVS Jupiter has been launched at Rs 49,666, ex-showroom Delhi, and no price hike has been made on the updated version. The new scooter also features Auto Headlamp On (AHO), which is a safety feature, and also gets equipped with Sync Braking System (SBS), which is similar to the CBS system seen on Honda scooters. TVS announced that the Sync Braking System (SBS) will be standard across the entire Jupiter range -- it was earlier offered only on the ZX range. TVS has also added two new colours - Jade Green and Mystic Gold, to the Jupiter range.
Commenting on the new scooter, Aniruddha Haldar, Vice President Marketing- Scooters, TVS Motor Company, said, “TVS Jupiter has received such enthusiasm from the consumers, in response to its credo of Zyada ka Fayda. Living true to this credo not only is the entire Jupiter range now BSIV compliant, it now offers the unique Sync Braking System (SBS) across the entire range (earlier only available on the ZX range). Further, for our customers, we are adding two colours Jade Green and Mystic Gold, giving them 10 colour options to choose from. We are happy to offer all this with absolutely no change in the Ex- showroom price, truly ZYADA KA FAYDA!”
The TVS Jupiter made its debut in the Indian two-wheeler market in 2013. Ever since its launch, the Jupiter has been warmly accepted by Indian buyers and TVS has sold over 1.5 million units of the 110cc scooter. The secret to the success of the Jupiter can be credited to features like external fuel filler cap, pass light (segment-first), tubeless tyres, alloy wheels, telescopic front forks, mobile charger, eco and power modes etc. The BS-IV TVS Jupiter is powered by the 109.7cc single cylinder, air-cooled motor producing 7.6PS of peak power and maximum torque of 8Nm, and has a claimed mileage of 62kmpl.
