Stricter safety and emission regulations continue to force carmakers to add more hardware to their cars and pump in more money for research and development. As making cars becomes more expensive, buying them could become harder as well. Our comments section shows that a number of people are concerned that they will not be able to afford new cars in the future. For this reason, we’ve compiled a list of the top BS4 price discounts you can get on hatchbacks in India:
Tata Bolt: Up to Rs 75,000 off
Its days are numbered but the spacious Bolt will forever be in our hearts for its turbo petrol motor. Tata got many things right with the Bolt before the more compact and better-looking Tiago came along. Get one of your own for a cash discount of Rs 75,000 at your local Tata dealership.
Maruti Suzuki Swift: Up to Rs 50,000 off
The facelifted Swift was a much-needed design update. It comes with frugal petrol and diesel engines, though the latter will not be updated to BS6. Get your diesel Swift while you can for up to Rs 50,000 off. The same discount applies to BS4 petrol Swifts as well. Base LXI petrol models get a further cash discount of Rs 3,500.
Renault Kwid: Up to Rs 45,000 off
the automobile community
We love the Kwid’s cushy ride, and the facelift gives it eye-catching looks to boot. Renault is offering the pre-facelift Kwid for a cash discount of Rs 45,000, plus a corporate discount worth Rs 4,000. You can get a discount of Rs 25,000 for the facelifted BS4 Kwid.
Tata Tiago: Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000 off
Another affordable looker is the Tiago. Tata is offering a cash discount of Rs 25,000 on the petrol variants of the Tiago and Rs 30,000 off the price of diesel variants. Add to that an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000, and you can get from Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000 off on the BS4 Tiago.
Honda Jazz: Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 off
Although it was never as popular as the City, the Jazz is a spacious supermini with efficient diesel and petrol engines. If price has been your excuse for not buying one, try your local dealership now. 2019-made Jazz hatchbacks are Rs 50,000 off and 2020 manufactured ones get a Rs 40,000 discount.
