Suzuki has taken the wraps off its first BS6-compliant product, the Access 125, as it gets subtle updates with the BS6 transition. Prices of the BS6 Access 125 are yet to be announced as the launch of the scooter is likely to take place in early-2020. Expect an increase of 10-15 per cent as stated earlier by Suzuki and other manufacturers.
To comply with upcoming emission laws, the Access 125’s motor is now fuel injected. It makes the same 8.7PS and 10Nm of torque as before but the peak outputs are produced at slightly different rpms. The max power kicks in at 6750rpm, which is 250rpm lower than before while the peak torque generated at 5500rpm is 500rpm higher than the BS4 motor.

Additionally, the new Access 125 gets an external fuel filler cap and an LED headlight which adds to the scooter’s practicality as well as premium quotient. Also, thanks to the external fuel filler cap, the pillion section seems lower than the previous model, which should make it easier for the pillion to get on/off the scooter.

Suzuki is yet to divulge further details regarding the scooter but it is likely to carry forward the same suspension setup (a front telescopic fork and a rear monoshock) as well as wheel assemblies as before. We will have to wait until early-2020 to know if there is any change in the weight of the Access 125 with the transition to BS6.
