Bugatti has revealed the Black Bess Veyron, the fifth and penultimate car of its six-part legend series ahead of its public debut at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. This new car is inspired by Bugatti’s Type 18 car which was built in the pre-war era and was known as the Black Bess. The Black Bess at that point was the fastest road car in the world. The new Black Bess Veyron will be limited to just three units.
The new car model is entirely constructed from carbon fibre and is painted completely black, just like its historical predecessor. Accentuating the pitch black exterior are gold-colored accents while some of the body components, such as the Bugatti horseshoe, are actually coated in 24-carat gold.
The interior of the Bugatti Black Bess Veyron is draped in leather. The headliner, footwell, seats, elongated center console and rear bulkhead are finished in a light Beige tone, while the dashboard, dash panel, door trim panel and cowl panel are all done in a Havanna shade.
No changes have been made to the mechanicals of the Bugatti Black Bess Veyron. An 8.0-litre W-16 quad-turbocharged engine will run under the hood of the car to produce 1,200PS of power and 1,500Nm of torque. The car will accelerate from 0-100kmph in 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 375kmph. This luxury car is priced at a whopping Rs 17.93 crore.
