Groupe PSA is set to begin its India innings with the Citroen C4 Aircross mid-size SUV by early 2021
While there’s still some time before Groupe PSA launches its first product for the Indian market, the C5 Aircross mid-size SUV, the company continues to prepare in advance with the launch of the Eurorepar product line in India. It's essentially Groupe PSA's range of parts and accessories for the repair and maintenance of vehicles.
The initial Eurorepar products for India will be brake pads, and will slowly expand to include products like wiper blades, filters (air, oil & fuel), brake discs, coolant, grease & lubricants. Entering into a distribution agreement with GoMechanic, these products will be made available at GoMechanic workshops and retailers via offline or online purchase options in 15 major cities in the country.
Accessories aside, Groupe PSA will begin its India offensive with the Citroen C5 Aircross slated for an early 2021 launch. Trial productions of the SUV have already begun in collaboration with CK Birla Group at their Thiruvallur plant in Tamil Nadu. Groupe PSA’s second car for India will also debut in the same year. The second car will make its world debut in India and will also be exported from the country.
Citoren will launch the C5 Aircross at prices starting from around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will take on the likes of the Jeep Compass, Skoda Karoq, and the Hyundai Tucson.
