Expected features include connected car tech, climate control, a sunroof, and smartphone connectivity.
Likely to be underpinned by the CMP platform.
It could be powered by 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines that support the CMP platform.
It will be the next Citroen model to launch in India after the C5 Aircross SUV.
It’s only been a couple of months since Citroen’s upcoming sub-4 metre SUV for India was spied for the first time and now more details have surfaced. It will be the next Citroen model for India after the debut of the C5 Aircross mid-size SUV in early-2021.
Previous cabin shots didn’t reveal a lot and the recent images are of the exteriors. But if you look closely, you’ll notice a floating touchscreen infotainment system. Previous shots also show an all-black dashboard theme. Expect features such as connected car tech, cruise control, a sunroof, climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, and smartphone connectivity. Safety kit could include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, and electronic stability control.
The sub-4m SUV may be heavily camouflaged but images show bits such as a traditional Citroen grille and also a possible split headlamp setup. With the test mule devoid of alloy wheels or a rear wash and wiper, it seems to be a lower-end variant.

Under the hood, the sub-4m SUV could be powered by 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, possibly underpinned by CMP. It is Citroen’s platform for compact models that also supports the above-mentioned engines. An automatic gearbox could also be on the cards.
Plenty of information is yet to be revealed on Citroen’s sub-4m SUV, including its name. It is likely to launch by the end of 2021. It will rival the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and the Nissan Magnite.
