Ducati India has launched the 959 Panigale Corse in the country today. Priced at Rs 15.20 lakh (ex-showroom Pan-India), the special edition motorcycle is around Rs 67,000 costlier than the standard model. So what do you get for the extra moolah? Unique special Corse livery inspired from the firm's MotoGP bike, the Desmosedici GP 18.
What else? Well, that's pretty much it. Unlike the international-spec model, the India-bound 959 Panigale Corse misses out on top-shelf components like Ohlins suspensions, titanium dual-exhaust from Akrapovic, Pirelli slicks and more. This might be done as a cost-saving measure.
Powering the motorcycle is the same engine found in the standard model. This ‘Superquadro’ 955cc L-Twin engine develops 150PS of maximum power and 107Nm of peak torque. Electronic aids include dual-channel Bosch ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Engine Brake Control and ride-by-wire system. The bike also gets three riding modes - Race, Sport and Wet.
Bookings for the motorcycle are open across all dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai. Ducati plans on showcasing the motorcycle at DRE Track Days, which will be held at the Buddh International circuit on 13 and 14 October 2018.
