Ducati fans can now rejoice! The company has announced the launch of a special edition of the Ducati Scrambler, the Scrambler Mach 2.0. It was first showcased at the Wheels and Waves event in Biarritz a few months back
The Scrambler Mach 2.0 variant will come with an all new paint scheme which is inspired from the Bell Cross Idol helmet which was part of the 2017 Ducati Scrambler apparel collection. The new paint work is done by Roland Sands, the renowned bike builder. The bike will also get a new, lowered and tapered handlebar, flat track seat and black exhaust. The cylinder head covers and cooling fins have also been finished in black.
The bike has been named after the Ducati Mach 1 250 from 1965, which was powered by the same motor as seen on the Scrambler 250, a bike built specifically for the US market between 1964 and 1974. It was offered in four engine options - 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, and 450cc.
However, there are no mechanical changes to the Mach 2.0 from the standard Scrambler. It is still powered by the same 803cc V-twin engine which produces 76PS of power and 68Nm of torque at 5750 rpm. The trellis frame, suspension setup and also the braking hardware (which includes ABS) has been carried forward from the stock Scrambler offering.
The Scrambler Icon and Scrambler Classic have been priced at Rs 7.23 lakh and Rs 8.48 lakh respectively. The new Mach 2.0 variant is expected to a carrying a premium of around Rs 50,000 to 80,000 over the standard model and will be launched in the coming few months.
