After it was showcased at the Wheels and Waves events in Biarritz, Ducati India has finally launched the the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0. The retro-styled motorcycle looks straight out of a 70s movie. This retro-styled motorcycle is priced at Rs 8.52 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India) and is available across all seven Ducati dealerships in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Sergi Canovas Garriga, managing director of Ducati India, said, “The Scrambler Mach 2.0 is a very special motorcycle that is a result of our collaboration with Roland and will provide a unique flavour to Scrambler buyers.”
The retro-styled motorcycle features a 70s West Coast-inspired paint scheme. It was designed by renowned bike maker Roland Sands, whose inspiration for the bike was the Bell Cross Idol helmet which was a part of the 2017 Ducati Scrambler collection. The vintage-styled motorcycle features a low-slung and tapered aluminium handlebars, a Flat Track Pro seat, black exhaust and cylinder head covers along with brush-finished cooling fins.
There are no mechanical changes done to the Mach 2.0 from the standard Scambler. It is still powered by the same BS-IV compliant, 803cc, L-twin engine which churns out 73PS of power at 8250rpm and 67Nm of torque at 5750rpm. Even the the trellis frame is the same as the regular motorcycle. Suspension setup includes upside down Kayaba 41mm front fork and Kayaba rear shock. Both units are adjustable for preload and rebound. Braking is handled by a 330mm front disc and a 245mm rear disc, yet another carryover from the the stock Scrambler Icon. Speaking of which, the Scrambler Icon and the Scrambler Classic is priced at Rs 7.23 lakh (ex-showroom India) and Rs 8.48 lakh (ex-showroom India), respectively.
