Here's what the jurors decreed for every car and bike that made it to the list of final contenders!

It all came down to the plain and simple numbers game in the end, with every member of the jury having 25 points at his disposal to distribute amongst the finalists, who came after conquering their own segments. Number crunching is something that us auto-enthusiasts aren't completely at home with, so we had the competent and helpful presence of personnel from Metric Consultancy, Pune, who kept tabs on the points being distributed and ensured there were no discrepencies.

The points were distributed based on the overall impressions of the contenders, and not split into any particular scoring areas like performance, fuel efficiency, price etc. To get the most points, the finalists had to appeal to the judges enough to stand out amongst the final list.

When it came to cars, the Figo was the runaway winner scoring 57 of the 175 distributed points in the 7-member jury. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR came in a distant second with 35 points, pipping the Skoda Yeti which ended with 30 points after the results were tallied.

It was a tough fight that went down to the wire in the bikes, as you can plainly see from the scoring sheets - another indicator of just how good the sparse contenders were. The bike jury was made up of 8 members, and the Yamaha SZ-X was declared the Bike of the Year after scoring 53 of the 200 distributed points. The Honda CB Twister though came close with 42 points, and barely pipped its own stablemate the Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler which ended with a total of 41 points.
