One of our avid readers had the opportunity to be in Leh just when Force Motors was out testing testing their SUV, the Force One, expected to launch in August this year. According to the enthusiast, the SUV has been doing rounds around Leh on complete off-road patches to test its capabilities on tricky terrain.
Force One will target the entry-level SUV segment which has been ruled by the Mahindra Scorpio and the Tata Safari thus far, and is expected to be a five seater with all creature comforts like cruise control, all wheel drive, steering mounted controls and a lot more. Equipped with a 2.2 liter engine made by Daimler, the Force One will not only have the brute force necessary for a vehicle of this type, it is also expected to be fairly reliable as well.
The suspension has been tuned by Lotus engineering (Yes! You heard that right), which has worked on the Mahindra Scorpio as well. As per our predictions, we expect it to be a decent vehicle with decent off-road and tarmac capabilities as well as all- round comfort. It is also expected to be priced between 8 to 12 lakhs. The Scorpio and Safari better watch out! To know more about the SUV, you can go through our earlier updates on Force One here.
