Ford launches new premium Fiesta SXI

Today, Ford India launched a new variant of its top-of-the-range Fiesta SXI which is designed to add a bit more pizzaz to the existing range. The car features a brand new front-fascia with a chrome grille and striking crystal barrel headlamps, improving upon the Fiesta's already great on-road presence. Nigel Wark, the Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Service for Ford India commented that the new look of the Fiesta SXI was based on customer feedback and specifically designed to appeal to young professionals who want their cars to reflect their individual personality and signifying success and confidence. The exterior list of modifications also includes new 14-inch silver finish alloy wheels and chrome-plated outer rear view mirrors with integrated indicators.

Apart from the exteriors, the new Fiesta SXI surrounds its occupants with eye-catching luxury and comfort with its grain beige leather interiors, mahogany wood-finished center console with brushed aluminum finish on all the knobs, vents and steering wheel. And for some in-car entertainment, the car comes with a 2-DIN MP3 player with surround sound which also supports an aux-in port to plug-in your portable music player.

On the engine front, the new Fiesta SXI comes with an option of either the 1.6-litre Duratec petrol, or the 1.4-litre Duratorq diesel motor. Of course, the new car doesn?t compromise on the safety front in any way and features the latest in crash energy management systems with Anti-lock brakes (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). Airbags are standard for driver and front passenger along with a collapsible steering column. A first in its class feature is the fuel cut-off inertia switch, which cuts off fuel in case of a crash. The SXI is secured with central locking and PATS (Passive Anti-Theft system) that immobilizes the engine when the key is turned off.

This new top-end variant of the Ford Fiesta SXI has been priced at Rs. 6.99 lakhs for the petrol version and Rs. 7.99 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom, Delhi), and will be available at Ford dealerships across the country starting on the 3rd of August.
