The Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 is all set to succeed its predecessor, the Lamborghini Gallardo, which rocked the roads for almost a decade. The Gallardo was Lamborghini’s most successful model in its forty years run with sales of 14,022 units. The Italian car manufacturer claims to have raked over 1,000 bookings for their Huracan even before its official launch in the past two months.

The Lamborghini Huracan borrows its design cues from its bigger brother- the Aventador. The car flaunts bold exteriors with smooth silhouette. Up front, it gets full LED headlamps, which the Italian manufacturer claims are a first in this class of supercars. The new car sits on 20-inch wheels and is stopped via carbon-ceramic brakes.

Angular sills protruding in the front of rear wheel arches are responsible for the car’s lower cooling. A wide outlet runs through the posterior of the car from its rear ends, and provides ventilation to the engine bay. The four line diffuser is flanked by twin tail pipes at either ends.

The Lamborghini Huracan is complemented by fully upholstered fine nappa leather and alcantara throughout. The car gets a 12.3-inch TFT instrument panel which delivers all car information- from rev counter to navigation maps and infotainment functions. The new car also gets optical park assist for the front and rear end, and electrically adjustable heated seats and armrests.

Underpinning the car is a 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10 engine which produces a maximum power of 618PS at 8,250rpm and a peak torque of 560Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Italian car manufacturer claims that the car can sprint between 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds and 0-200kmph in 9.9 seconds with a top speed of more than 325kmph. The car offers fully electronic all-wheel-drive system.

The Lamborghini Huracan is expected to go on sale by mid-2014. The Italian carmaker hasn’t disclosed the pricing of the vehicle yet, but we expect it to come with a price tag of Rs 3.5 crore.
