Tata Motors has entered the compact SUV segment with the launch of the Curvv, offering a unique SUV-coupe bodystyle to buyers. Available in eight variants, the Curvv can be configured with three engine options, including two turbo-petrol choices and a single diesel option.
In this report, we will take a closer look at what the Creative variant has to offer, including its features and engine choices, along with a complete overview of its exterior and interior.

Prices for the Creative variant range between Rs 12.20 lakh and Rs 13.70 lakh (ex-showroom). You get both manual and automatic transmission options with the 120 PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, while the 118 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine is offered only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Upfront, the sleek LED DRLs instantly catch your attention, although they are not connected and lack the welcome or goodbye animation found in the higher-spec variants. The front grille features silver accents, flanked by headlight housings with an LED setup. The Creative variant also misses out on LED fog lamps with a cornering function, which are available from the Creative+ variant onwards.
The Creative variant's silhouette features a contrasting silver-finished window line that adds a premium touch to its sporty roofline. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that features a five-spoke petal-like design. The chunky black wheel arches add a sense of muscularity to its design.

The rear profile is enhanced by a dual roof-mounted spoiler, while the Creative variant includes a shark fin antenna and rear defogger but misses out on connected LED tail lamps.
The rear bumper has a black-finished skid plate instead of the silver-finished one found in higher-specced variants.
With the Creative variant, you get a black and white cabin theme with grey fabric seat upholstery. The main highlight of the interior is the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The dashboard features soft-touch elements, and the centre console has touch-sensitive climate controls with toggle switches. The four-spoke steering wheel features leather-wrapped stitching and silver accents, adding a premium touch.
Apart from a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, the Creative variant gets amenities like automatic climate control, a 8-speaker audio system, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Features such as 4-inch digital instrument cluster, multiple drive modes, cruise control, electrically adjustable ORVM and all-four power windows are carried forward.
On the safety front, the Creative variant comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hold control, and a reverse parking camera with sensors.
Underneath the hood, the Creative variant is powered by either the 120 PS/ 170 Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine option or the 118 PS/ 260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine choice. The turbocharged petrol unit is paired to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the diesel engine choice is offered only with a 6-speed manual. Automatic transmission is available with Creative S and Creative + S variants.
And if you are looking for the more powerful 125 PS/ 225 Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine option, you will have to opt in for more higher-spec variants.
The ICE-powered Curvv locks horns with compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
