The Glamour has been Hero Honda’s favourite 125cc offering for the Indian market for many years now. In fact, the bike was the first Indian two-wheeler to receive an electronic fuel-injection system, in a bid to separate itself from the 125cc commuter crowd and establish itself as a technology leader. Now, Hero Honda has taken the wraps off a made-over version of the Glamour, which brings the workhorse back in the news – albeit with more style.
Consumers are quite used to refreshed Hero Honda models, and like most of them the upgraded Glamour and Glamour FI has been modified cosmetically, with the same engine and cycle parts. It is however not just a lipstick job this time around – in fact we think that the bike has received a generous dose of style with the makeover. Apart from the new shroud with new chequers and a new headlamp, there’s also a new cover over the exhaust that works at bringing the bike up to date, in terms of style. An added bunch of paint schemes also works in the upgrade’s favour, as does a new digital-analog speedo-tacho console. The Glamour has been launched at Rs 50,500 ex-showroom Delhi, while its fuel injected sibling will go for Rs 59,500.
