After unveiling it back at the 2018 Auto Expo, Hero MotoCorp will finally be launching the Maestro Edge 125 tomorrow, 13 May 2019. Alongside it, Hero will also be launching the updated 2019 Pleasure 110.
Starting with the Maestro Edge 125, it is likely to be India’s first fuel-injected scooter. This will help it run much cleaner and abide with the upcoming BS 6 norms. The flagship Hero scooter will also come packed with features like LED headlamps, semi-digital instrument cluster and more.
Powering the scooter will be the same engine as the Destini 125. This 124.6cc single-cylinder engine makes 8.8PS of power and 10.2Nm of torque. However, we expect it to carry a slightly sportier tune. The Maestro Edge 125 might come with an optional front disc, which isn’t offered on any other Hero scooter yet. Considering the extent of updates, expect the Maestro Edge 125 to carry a premium of Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 over the Destini 125.
Coming to the 2019 Hero Pleasure, we expect it to come with LED headlamps, semi-digital instrument cluster, a curvier bodywork and a revised set of graphics. Powering it will most likely be the same 102cc single-cylinder engine which makes 7PS of power and 8.1Nm of torque. In terms of pricing, expect the facelifted model to command a premium of around Rs 3,000 over the current model.
We will be riding both the scooters tomorrow, so watch this space for our first ride review!
