The brand will be hiking prices across its entire range by up to Rs 2,000

The beginning of a new year is supposed to be a joyous occasion, but if you’re a prospective Hero buyer then we’ve got some bad news for you. On Jan 1, 2020, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer will be hiking ex-showroom prices across its entire range of products.

The exact hike will vary from model to model, with the largest increment being Rs 2,000. This is likely being done in order to partially absorb a larger price hike that all models will receive when they are eventually updated to meet BS6 emission norms. The deadline for the upcoming regulations is April 1, 2020, but the brand has already launched its first BS6-compliant model, the new Splendor iSmart, last month. So if you are keen on picking up that shiny new Hero, now is the time to head to the showrooms.
