Back in January, Hero had announced the Xtreme 160R limited edition to commemorate its 100-millionth-two-wheeler-unit milestone. Now, the bike is already available at Hero dealerships, priced at Rs 1,08,750 (ex-showroom, Pune). The booking amount is Rs 1,000.
Hero hasn’t done many alterations for the Xtreme 160R 100 Million Limited Edition model. All you get is a new dual-tone paint scheme of red and white and a ‘100 million’ badge on the fuel tank. The Xtreme 160R Limited Edition costs Rs 1,800 more than the standard variant, which is priced at Rs 1,06,950. We think it is a bit too much, considering all that’s new is the dual-tone colour and a small badge.
Everything underneath the new skin is the same. The Xtreme 160R 100 Million Edition is powered by a 163cc air-cooled motor that makes 15.2PS and 14Nm. The braking hardware and the suspension setup have been retained as well.
The Hero Xtreme 160R competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 and the TVS Apache RTR 1604V in the segment.
