Honda has hiked the prices of its popular scooter, the Activa 6G. The Honda Activa 6G now costs Rs 64,464 for the Standard version and Rs 65,964 for the DLX variant, a marginal hike of Rs 552. This is the first time the Activa 6G has received a price hike since its launch in January this year.
But apart from the change in price, the scooter remains the same as before. It’s powered by a new 109.51cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected motor that churns out 7.79PS and 8.79Nm, which is 0.17PS and 0.21Nm less than the Honda Activa 5G. Underpinnings include a telescopic front forks and a 3-step preload adjustable single shock absorber at the rear. In mid-March, Honda issued a recall for the Activa 6G as well as the Dio BS6 and the Activa 125 BS6. Here’s why.
The Honda Activa 6G competes with the Hero Pleasure Plus BS6 and TVS Jupiter BS6. In a related development, Honda has launched the CB190X, a road-biased ADV, in China. Will it come to India? Well, here’s the answer. Honda India also recently announced that it will be providing financial help to dealers who are affected by the slowdown due to the coronavirus lockdown. Check out more details about it here.
All prices, ex-showroom Delhi.
