To mark the first anniversary of the Honda Amaze, Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) have introduced a special edition version of the compact sedan called the ‘Anniversary edition’. The special edition Honda Amaze will get sporty body-kit including all round skirting, door visors and new exhaust tips. The interiors of the car get premium upholstery and wood finish accents on the dashboard. The Honda Amaze Anniversary Edition also gets an ‘Anniversary edition’ emblem to distinguish the special edition version, from regular Amaze. The Honda Amaze ‘Anniversary edition’ will be available in both petrol and diesel options, at Rs 71,861 over the price of the standard ‘VX’ and ‘S’ variants, which range between Rs 7.08 lakh to 8.03 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
Speaking about the limited edition model, Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, HCIL said, “Honda Amaze has been a game changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to so many new customers, bringing them into the Honda fold. We are delighted to introduce the new ‘Anniversary edition’ amongst customers to celebrate its success. It is Honda’s constant endeavor to provide freshness to our products and create excitement in the market. We are confident that the differentiated and youthful look of the car will have greater appeal to our customers.”
The Honda Amaze comes powered with a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine and also marks the company’s entry in to the Indian diesel engine segment with its 1.5L i-DTEC oil-burner. The car has received positive response in the country and since its launch in April last year has sold over 80,000 units.
