While preparing to be future emission-ready, Honda is planning to launch a new two-wheeler on 14 November. While there is no announcement regarding the exact product in question, we believe it is most likely going to be the BS6-compliant version of the CB Shine 125 SP. Recently, RTO registration documents of the motorcycle had surfaced online. This will be Honda's second BS6-compliant two-wheeler after the Activa 125 which was launched in September.
The document revealed that the new engine was gaining 0.58PS from the outgoing BS4 model, with max power for the bike now rated at 10.88PS. While there is no information yet regarding the bump up in power, we do know that this new engine is fuel injected in order to meet upcoming emissions norms.
It was also revealed that body dimensions as well as the wheelbase of the new BS6 motorcycle are different. Hence, one could expect a new design for the motorcycle alongside minor changes to the frame and swingarm. Honda could also be launching the BS6 Shine in three variants, with just one of them getting a front disc brake option. Stay tuned for more details.
