Honda has announced its official list of accessories for the CBR650R. Admittedly, it isn’t as comprehensive as one would expect, but there’s enough for simple cosmetic updates. Prices for these add-ons start from Rs 1,368 and go up to around Rs 12,000.
First up, is tank protection. You have three in this case meant for the side, centre and fuel lid. Tank pads or tank protectors prevent damages such as scuff marks and paint chips on the tank from your belt buckle or zipper. The constant contact of your riding pants on the tank could also wear the paint out. These simple yet effective solutions would keep the tank looking new and save you an expensive paint job.
Radiator Cover: Rs 7,817
While it isn’t mandatory to have one, it sure as hell is recommended. A quality cover helps protect your radiator from stones and debris while maintaining proper airflow that’s fed into the cooler. Needless to say, a motorcycle radiator guard has to be aesthetically pleasing too, something Honda's product does well. And since the part is OEM manufactured, you need not worry about clearance issues between it and surrounding motorbike components.
Tail Tidy: Rs 12,311
No one likes an untidy rear end. Sportbikes with fat tyres are meant to show off that beautiful rear, so why not slap on Honda’s tail tidy that will give the bike a clean and minimalistic look. It is expensive, but quality does come at a price. Besides, the accessory does a fantastic job at hiding those wire looms for the turn indicators as well as the light illuminating the number plate. And since it’s designed and developed by Honda, you can be rest assured that it will be an easy fix.
