Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) expanded its Dream series of motorcycles by launching the new Honda CD 110 Dream. With the new motorcycle, Honda is targeting the entry-level of the commuter segment which the Japanese two-wheeler giant dubs as “basic sub-segment of 100/1100cc bikes” and claims it constitutes for 23 per cent of the total market share.

Since the Honda CD 110 Dream is targeted at entry-level commuters, fuel efficiency is of utmost importance. Honda claims that the new motorcycle with Honda Eco Technology has a fuel efficiency figure of 74kmpl based on their test and ICAT mileage figure of 83kmpl. Talking about the powerplant, the 110cc, air-cooled mill pumps out 8.3PS at 7,500rpm and torque rating stands at 8.6Nm at 5,500rpm. The figures are similar to that of the Honda Dream Yuga and Neo, which are the other two models under the Dream series.

In terms of design, the Honda CD 110 Dream is almost similar to the Dream Neo, the only difference being the use of restyled graphics, while the engine and alloys have been finished in silver instead of black. According to Honda the CD 110 Dream has been developed with keeping in mind the basic needs of a commuter buyer. For this purpose, it has a ground clearance of 179mm, wheelbase of 1258mm for better stability and long seats have been provided. Other features on the new Honda CD 110 Dream include tubeless tyres, viscous air filter and maintenance free battery.

The base variant of the new Honda CD 110 Dream has been priced at Rs 41,100 (ex-showroom Delhi) which makes it around Rs 2,000 cheaper than the similiarly specced Dream Neo. The Honda CD 110 Dream will be available in three shades of (Black with Red stripe, Black with Blue Stripe and Black with Grey stripe.)Bookings for the new offering have started and the deliveries are expected to commence form mid-July 2014 onwards. The new Honda CD 110 Dream will be offered in only one variant of Kick-Drum-Alloy.
