The adventure touring space in India has been growing at a steady pace over the years. Brands like Triumph and Ducati have been leading the charge when it comes organising riding camps which are designed to help customers understand their bikes better and teaching them the ropes of adventure touring. Honda seems to be taking a similar approach here in India as the Japanese brand conducted its very first ’Africa Twin True Adventure Camp’. The first instalment of the event witnessed the participation of 20 riders who assembled at Damdama Lake in Sohna (Haryana).
The camp is designed to offer riders both theoretical and practical knowledge of their bikes. It also gives them an in-depth view of the workings of the Africa Twin’s Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), different modes of riding for different terrains and other off-road capabilities. Special sessions were also put in place to expose participants to other factors like humps, underground turns, gravel, pits and dirt tracks.
