Honda has big plans for the upcoming Revfest festival that will be held simultaneously in eight different cities across India. At this event, Honda has announced that it would be officially launching the CBR 650F in the Indian market. While the focus will be on the largest displacement bike to be assembled by Honda in India there’s more surprise in store for us. Honda has hinted that it might launch or showcase more products at Revfest.
According to our sources the Japanese manufacturer will showcase three new motorcycles apart from the Honda CBR 650F. The three bikes in contention are likely to be the facelifted Honda CBR 150R, Honda CB Hornet 160R and the face lifted Honda CBR 250R. The new HondaCBR 150R will get a facelift in terms of cosmetic changes and no mechanical updates are expected.
It is also expected that Honda will showcase a new bike which will be a sportier version of the Unicorn 160. While the Honda Unicorn 160 has been targeted towards mature 150cc segment buyers, the new Honda CB Hornet 160R will try to please the youngsters. The 163.7cc; air-cooled motor churns out 14.5PS of max power and peak torque rating of 14.6Nm. The powerplant is mated to a 5-speed gearbox which transmits power via chain drive. The new Honda CB Hornet 160R will compete against Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ-S FI, Hero Xtreme Sports and TVS Apache RTR 160. The third bike could be the face lifted version of the CBR 250R. It was expected that Honda might ride in the CBR 300R in India but that hasn’t happened so far. It is expected that the new Honda CBR 250R will get cosmetic updates in the form of new colours which is a bit disappointing. Watch this space for more updates.
