With the deadline for equipping bikes that displace 125cc or above with ABS as standard fast approaching, Honda has launched a new variant of the X-Blade with a single-channel ABS unit as standard. This is the same unit we've seen on the Honda CB Hornet 160R. Priced at Rs 87,776 (ex-showroom Delhi), the ABS variant is Rs 8,008 more expensive than the standard variant. Honda is also offering accessories like a belly pan fairing, front fork covers as well as wheel rim tapes as standard with the new variant.
Standard variant (Non-ABS)
The Honda X-Blade packs a 162.71cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out 14PS of power at 8,500rpm and 13.9Nm of torque at 6000rpm. It’s the only bike in its segment to feature LED headlamps. While suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear, braking is taken care of by 276mm front and 130mm rear disc brakes. It goes up against the Hero Xtreme Sports (Rs 82,100) and the Suzuki Gixxer ABS (Rs 87,871) (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
